Tangkuban Perahu

Mount Tangkuban Perahu located in Lembang, 30 km north of Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, Indonesia. Actually, Tangkuban Perahu is an active volcano. Named by Tangkuban Perahu in Sundanese dialect, because Tangkuban Perahu shape resembles an upturned boat. There are interesting legends associated with this fascinating region.
One time ago in west java there are Dayang Sumbi, a beautiful woman who cast away her son Sangkuriang for disobedience. Sangkuriang blessed eternal power by the god. After long time in exile, Sangkuriang decided to come back homes. Becase Sangkuriang grew up into a handsome man, so they don’t recognize each other. Unwittingly Sangkuriang fell in love with Dayang Sumbi and intend to marry.
But, eventually Dayang Sumbi recognize Sangkuriang because his birthmark on his body. To prevent the marriage with his son, Dayang Sumbi asked Sangkuriang to build a dam on the river Citarum as well as making a big boat as a condition of marriage. And both must be completed before sunrise.
Sangkuriang undertakes request by Dayang Sumbi and called Buta Hijo(a mythical ogre-green giant) to help him.  Looking at the task she gave almost done, so Dayang Sumbi asked his assistants to spread red silk fabric in the eastern city as the impression that the sun will rise. Sangkuriang cheated and kicked the dam and the unfinished boat, resulting in flooding and the creation of Tangkuban Perahu from the hull.



Anyer Beach

Anyer is an attraction located 160 km west of Jakarta (the capital State of Indonesia). It’s attractions especially located in Banten, can be reached only two hours from Jakarta. Dunia Fantasi in Jakarta



Amusement park is the generic term used to refer to a collection of rides and other entertainment attractions assembled together in a large area to entertain a fairly large group of people belonging to different age groups. An amusement park is more elaborate affair than a usual city park or playground. The temporary at times even annual, amusement park with mobile rides is known as funfair or carnival. A more specific category of amusement park is the theme park and these are the highest quality form of an amusement park. Theme parks use architecture, signage, landscaping to imbibe a feeling of getting transcended to a different place or time among the visitors. Theme parks are often comprised of various lands or sections that contribute together in depicting a particular style. Occasionally amusement parks have rides with distinct themes or additional design elements.
Amusement parks evolved in Europe from Pleasure Gardens which used to provide recreation to the people and charged a fee for it. In 1853, the oldest amusement park, of the world,Bakken at Kloppenburg came into existence. Dunia Fantasi is the most famous indoor theme park in Jakarta.

Medan

I've wrote about people in Medan. Now its the time to show you, the places to go when you visit Medan.


1.Lake Toba is an infamous lake, with its beauty and its legend has been spread world-widely and it become a perfect destination for your vacations.




2. Two Colours Waterfall. I dont have anything to say, JUST COME THERE AND SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS.




3. Sungai Asahan is according to professional rafters one of the best rivers for white water sports in the world and maybe the most beautiful of them all. Asahan is a tough rafting river. 



4. The Asam Kumbang Crododile Farm is the largest in Indonesia with some 2,400 reptiles where you can witness the oldest crocodile that has lived for 45 years. 


5. Bukit lawang ( Lawang Hill ) is one of the most accessible places to spot this reclusive primate, thanks to an orang-utan conservation programme that has been operating on the eastern edge of the Gunung Leuser National Park since the 1970s. The national park is one of the orang-utan’s last remaining strongholds, with more than 5000 animals thought to be living in the wild.

Yogyakarta

YOGYAKARTA (often also called Jogja, Yogya or Jogja) is located in middle of Java Island - Indonesia, where everything is cheap. 5. Tugu Jogja or the Jogja Monument becomes the landmark that is closely linked to Yogyakarta. There is a tradition to hug and kiss this monument after finishing the study in a university.


6. In six hours time the Dutch troop fled in disorder. An attack serves as the return point of the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.

8. Gamelan is the music created by integrating voices of gong, kenong and other Javanese music instruments. Soft music that reflects the life harmony of Javanese people will soon greet and calm the soul down once someone is listening to it.


9. Wayang Kulit ( leather Puppet ) show. This performance art has been more than five centuries of age. Presenting the story of Ramayana and Mahabharata, this overnight performance serves the proper space to spend the night, reflect and understand Javanese life philosophy.


10. Kaliurang, To enjoy the enchanting natural view in the north end of Yogyakarta. To touch the cool air and feel romantic atmosphere a la Dutch madam and meneer of the past time in Kaliurang that is located at the foot of Merapi Mountain.

Manado

Manado city is the provincal capital of North Sulawesi. Manado is the starting point for exploration of the Minahasa region's many attractions. Fun-loving and extroverted, the Minahasa people live in neat wood frame houses, with fences and flower gardens, giving Manado a European feel. There is a wide range of hotels and restaurants. Those with an adventurous palate should try the famously hot and spicy Minahasa cuisine. The city's numerous shops and markets are filled with an abundance of consumer goods and agricultural produce, while behind every building are glimpses of emerald hills and azure sea. Inland from Manado, a trip through the Minahasa Highlands will take you to intriguing prehistoric above-ground burial sites, volcanoes, hot springs, the highland lake Tondano and breathtaking panoramas of lush mountains, coffee and coconut plantations, orchid gardens and terraced hillsides. From Manado, also be sure to visit the Dua Saudara Nature Reserve - Tangkoko, home to birds and other wildlife unique to Sulawesi, such as the Tarsier - the smallelst monkey, cus cus, Hornbill etc.

You dont have to think twice to visit Manado. Good thing, most of them are christian. You aint got hard time to eat pork. One more thing that well known from Manado is Cap Tikus. If you think you are a drinker, you should try that one. Muahahaha 

Bali

Bali may be small in size – you can drive around the entire coast in one long day – but its prominence as a destination is huge, and rightfully so. Ask travellers what Bali means to them and you’ll get as many answers as there are flowers on a frangipani tree. Virescent rice terraces, pulse-pounding surf, enchanting temple ceremonies, mesmerising dance performances and ribbons of beaches are just some of the images people cherish.

2. Gunung Kawi is a Hindu Temple complex with old omission from the stone era located in Gianyar regency.




3. Gua Gajah (Elephant Cave) which is located in west side of Bedulucountryside, Blah Batuh Sub district and Gianyar Regency. It is about 27 km from Denpasar town. This cave is built at crevasse edge from the federation of 2 rills that is called Pangkung River , where the irrigation is mixed with Petanu River flow. The federation area of two rivers is called Campuhan/Mixture. It owns the magical energy on the basis of Rwabineda Concept/two different matters on this basic concept hence Gua Gajah (Elephant Cave) is intentionally built among two rivers.


4. Sangeh is a small fertile monkey forest dwelling by the group of monkeys. It is located in Sangeh countryside, Badung Regency, north part of Denpasar town. It is one of tourist destinations in Bali which is strategically located beside of the road. The good road has been provided to reach this place and many tourists has come to this place to see the cute of monkeys.


5. Nusa Dua is an elite resort area with international five star hotels and resorts existing on the costal side in south part of Bali. It is located in Badung Regency and about 25 minutes drive from Bali's International airport. Nusa Dua with 350 ha size is the sample luxury resort area and one of best tourism places in the world. In fact, the name of Nusa Dua is coming from two small islands located in the south part of Bali Island (Nusa mean the island and Dua mean two) that is dissociated with the white sand.


6. Sanur Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach with calm and warm seawater located in east part of Denpasar Town. The beach location in eastside and south part of Sanur Village is an edge of Indonesia Ocean. This place has been famous since long time, especially when the happening of the Puputan Badung war on 20 September 1906, where that moment the Dutch colonist land its army in this coast. There is a stone monument found in this place as an inscription of Sri Kesari Warmadewa King with the palace in Singhadwala year 917, whereabouts now there are in Blanjong, southern part of Sanur Beach.


7. Uluwatu Temple is a Hindu temple set on the cliff bank in south part of Bali Peninsula. It is one of Sad Kahyangan Temple in Bali (six big groups of Bali Temples), located in Pecatu Village, Sub district of South Kuta, and Badung Regency or about 25 Km southerly part of Denpasar town. It is situated on the coral reef sordid to sea about 80 meters above the sea level. It is featured by a small dry forest which is mostly called by Alas Kekeran (interdict forest) which is belong to the temple and dwelt by a lot of monkeys and other animal. Name of Uluwatu was come from the word Ulu meaning the head and Watu meaning stone. Therefore Uluwatu Temple mean the temple built in tip of coral reef.

Borobudur temple


One of the greatest Buddhist monuments in Southeast Asia, Borobudur was built in the 8th century and stands on top of a hill surrounded by volcanoes and overlooking green fields. It is an immense multi-tiered structure with the Great Stupa (bell-shaped monument) at the top standing 128ft (40m) above the ground, surrounded by numerous smaller stupas, some still containing Buddha statues inside. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a major tourist attraction in Java.
